Ong: MCA will say what needs to be said - The Star

KUALA LUMPUR: The MCA will make adjustments to its approaches and say what needs to be said, party president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting declared.

He said the people wanted to know if the party was as concerned as them about certain issues and the party took note of that.

Responding to questions from reporters on “silent politics” – where the party had been solving problems through internal channels within the Barisan Nasional – he said:

“The party will say what we need to say. On certain issues that the people want us to voice out, we will know how to voice it out in the correct way.”

The party would have to work very hard to win back the confidence of the people, he told a press conference after chairing a brainstorming session with party central committee members Friday.

“This will not happen by making one or two statements. The challenges ahead will be great and it needs our hard work, and strong stamina. It is going to take time,” he said.
